Fauji Fertilizer Company Goes Live on SAP Digital Core to Transform Business Processes


Enables Pakistan Vision 2025 Goal to Grow Pakistan’s Agricultural Contribution to GDP

Enabling Pakistan Vision 2025’s goals of growing Pakistan’s agricultural contribution to GDP through technology, the Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd(FFC), Pakistan’s largest fertilizer company, has gone live on a digital core for real-time analytics. FFC successfully deployed the SAP S/4HANA next-generation business suite.

Agriculture is a pillar of Pakistan’s economy, representing 45 percent of the workforce and 21 percent of GDP, according to Pakistan Vision 2025. The Vision aims to use technology to make farmers 20 percent more efficient, decrease the crop yield gap by 40 percent, and reduce crop losses by 50 percent. Samsung launches new Galaxy A8/A8+ and Grand Prime Pro Smartphones

 

The global leader in technology – Samsung has launched its highly advanced smartphones - Samsung Galaxy A8, Samsung Galaxy A8+, and the Grand Prime Pro-2018 in Pakistan . A glitzy launching ceremony was held at a local hotel in Lahore on Monday, 15th of January, 2018, where the President Samsung EC Pakistan– Mr. Y.J. Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro globally acclaimed by top tech media at CES 2018

HUAWEI & Khumariyaan Come Together for a Melodious New Year Surprise


HUAWEI joined hands with Patari Music to ring in the New Year with much fanfare and merriment. They banded together with Khumariyaan – the famous band from Peshawar to create a scintillating music video for the song Gulmast. The video was shot entirely with a HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro at the picturesque Nathiagali with dazzling views of the valley.

With the oncoming of winter, Khumariyaan, an internationally celebrated band, created the track Gulmast as a celebration of the season. The tune heralds a new dawn and in the words of Sparlay Rawail, band member, “it pays homage to the pop beat of Peshawar that is well known among all Pashtuns. The band has used a dying instrument called the Pashtun Sehtaar in hopes of bringing its sound back into the conscious of our listeners.”

The launch of the video was meant as a New Year’s celebration, and was shot in the resplendent, snow-laden valleys of Nathiagali. The highly stylized video captures the photographic prowess of HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro that shoots video in 4K quality with its dual camera of 20MP monochrome sensor and 12MP RGB sensor.

Presenting this mellifluous New Year’s gift to the nation, Mr. Blueking, General Manager, HUAWEI Consumer Business Group – Pakistan said “We wanted to surprise our fans and followers in Pakistan with this amazing New Year song and showcase the dexterity of our HUAWEI Mate 10 Series – that has truly ushered an era of intelligent smartphones.”

Khumariyaan is a group of four musicians from Peshawar, Pakistan working on the incremental evolution of Pashtu folk music, they create trance-like and ambient pieces, which do not rely on lyrics, but their fierce instrumentals as its driving force.

HUAWEI embarks on a Fully-connectedIntelligent Era to Achieve Global Prominence


HUAWEI welcomes the New Year with renewed hope and vigor as the company embarks on a journey towards global prominence by bringing innovative technology to people. This was stated by Richard Yu, CEO, HUAWEI CBG in his New Year message for HUAWEI employees worldwide.

2017 was a phenomenal year for HUAWEI. Its global market share exceeded 10% cementing its rank as one of the top three players – thereby narrowing the gap between the top two players. HUAWEI CBG expects to generate a revenue of CNY 236 billion in 2017, a year-on-year increase of around 30% while the annual global shipments of HUAWEI and Honor smartphones are expected to reach 153 million units.

In the fourth quarter of 2017, HUAWEI launched the HUAWEI Mate 10 series, which received a great response worldwide. The range consisted HUAWEI Mate 10 and HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro – the world's first smartphone powered by an AI chip – a true milestone. These devices officially marked the beginning of HUAWEI’s evolution from smartphones to intelligent phones and ushered the smartphone industry into the AI era.

After its launch, the HUAWEI Mate 10 series has remained a bestseller. It was named the best smartphone by Forbes, and was lauded as the best Android phone, the most stylish phone, and the phone to watch in 2018. In the UK, TechRadar rated the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro as having the largest battery capacity of any of its main competitors.
